I was poking fun at Apple with a few people over Twitter about how Apple didn’t name the latest iPad the iPad 3. Instead, they marketed it as “The New iPad”.

“When it gets to the point where the average consumer judges something based on a number, instead of appreciating the product, it becomes frustrating.  As soon as a new number is slapped onto the end of the name, no matter what, your device is outdated.  “
